CFLR Program Frequently Asked Questions

Question

How can regions ensure they will have sufficient funding for project planning when nominating projects for CFLRF funding?

Answer

The CFLRF is intended to accelerate project implementation and monitoring.  It is not intended to fully fund all aspects of ecological restoration, including planning.  Regions need to integrate programs consistent with primary purpose to ensure funding is made available for project planning and other costs not cover by CFLRF.  As part of any proposal, the Regional Forester needs to include a plan to use regional funds to cover the planning, implementation, and monitoring costs not covered by CFLRF.  Regions can use past funding to make reasonable estimates on anticipated future funding.
