Aquatic Organism Passage Program Training

Several key resources are available through the Forest Service’s San Dimas Development and Technology Center (Forest Service employees only) website.

Key training topics on the website include site inventory and site design. The Forest Service offers three national trainings a year to cover these AOP topics, which rotate in location around the nation. The training cadre includes a nationally recognized team of Forest Service employees comprised of:

  • Dr. Dan Cenderelli, Geomorphologist/Hydrologist with the Stream Systems Technology Center in Fort Collins, Colorado
  • Bob Gubernick, Watershed Restoration Geologist with Region 9 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • Mark Weinhold, Forest Hydrologist with the White River National Forest in Glenwood Springs, Colorado

While focused on Forest Service employees, each training session is open for attendance by a mix of skills (biologists, engineers, and hydrologists) from the Forest Service, state agencies and Departments of Transportation, other federal agencies, and private consultants.
