Regional Examples
People use agroforestry in different ways in diverse ecosystems and landscapes—both rural and urban. Regional examples of agroforestry systems help farmers, land managers, and technical assistance providers make informed decisions to meet their conservation and production goals. However, locally relevant agroforestry examples can be difficult to find.
To fill this gap, the National Agroforestry Center worked with partners to develop a wide range of outreach materials. These videos, case studies, enterprise budgets, and other materials illustrate the various ways that agroforestry practices can be designed and implemented from small and large farms and forests to urban backyards and community parks.
Explore the map below or use the list to filter by agroforestry practice, location, and language. Some publications are available in Spanish, ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, and Ilokano, and some videos have subtitles in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, Samoan, and ʻŌlelo Chuuk. NAC is continuing to add resources to this webpage.
