Passes
There is no entrance fee for the Pike-San Isabel National Forests and Cimarron & Comanche National Grasslands. The forests and grasslands are open year-round for a variety of recreational activities and uses.
However, fees apply at campgrounds and day use areas that are operated by the forest's concessionaire. Day-use fees are paid on site at the fee area. Annual passes may be available on site at some locations. Some fee areas and campgrounds are open seasonally, while others are open year-round.
The Pikes Peak - America's Mountain website contains information on fees and road status for making the trip up the iconic fourteener.
National interagency passes offer discounts, free entrances, and some coverage of standard amenity fees at recreation sites with the following federal agencies: U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation.
Please visit the U.S. Geological Survey Online Store to learn more about interagency passes and to purchase a pass online (allow at least three weeks for order processing and delivery). Interagency passes are also available for purchase at your nearest national forest or grassland office.
Please remember when making your purchase that interagency passes are nonrefundable and nontransferable, and they cannot be extended and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Passholders must show valid photo identification (ID) with each pass.
