Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find more than 150,000 miles of trails, 10,000 developed recreation sites, 57,000 miles of streams, 122 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 9,100 miles of byways, 22 recreation areas, 11 scenic areas, 439 wilderness areas, 122 wild and scenic rivers, nine monuments, and one preserve. And remember, “It’s All Yours.”

Fisherman's Day Use

This day use site provides access to the beach and Sandlake estuary, offering picnic tables, and restrooms. A fire ring and BBQs are also available.  Enjoy fishing, crabbing, kayaking and paddleboarding.

Spot Mountain Trailhead

Spot Mountain Trailhead has parking suitable for a few cars. It accesses Trail #3 to Spot Mountain Lookout. There are no facilities.

Fairforest Rifle Range

Fairforest Rifle Range is ADA accessible, with paved paths to targets and accommodates targets at 25 and 100-yard intervals. Annual and daily passes for using the Enoree rifle ranges are available on recreation.gov.   

Indian Creek Rifle Range

Indian Creek is ADA accessible, with paved paths to targets and accommodates targets at 25 and 100-yard intervals. Annual and daily passes for using the Enoree rifle ranges are available on recreation.gov.   

Honey Hill Recreation Area

This primitive camping facility is located between McClellanville and Honey Hill. A short camp loop swings through an upland pine/oak forest and encircles a fire lookout tower. The fire lookout tower is no longer in use. Click here for a printable guide.

Guilliard Lake

Bellfield Pond

Campbell Tree Grove Campground

Campbell Tree Grove Campground is located adjacent to the West Fork Humptulips River in the beautiful temperate rain forest. The Campbell Tree Grove encompasses an impressive stand of old growth which illuminate this distinctive and vital wild area. Access to the West Fork Humptulips Trail #806 along the river adjacent to the campground.

Falls Creek - South Shore Trailhead

Willaby Campground/Day Use Area

Willaby Campground is located on the south shore of Lake Quinault in the beautiful temperate rainforest. Sitka spruce, Douglas-fir, western hemlock and western red cedar provide dense shade for this beautiful setting. The forested slopes of the Olympic National Park provide a scenic backdrop across the Quinault Lake. There are 19 campsites that accommodate tents, trailers and RV’s and 2 walk-in tent sites.

Wrights Canyon Trail/Trailhead

Provides access to: Gatton Creek Falls via Wrights Canyon Trail, a 3/10 mile compacted gravel accessible trail that leads to Gatton Creek Falls viewing area. Forest of conifers and rhododendrons located high above the Big Quilcene River. Fletcher Canyon Trailhead

Provides access to: Fletcher Canyon Trail #857 which enters a deep canyon within Colonel Bob Wilderness.
