Little Casa #169
This 4.7-mile trail connects Temporal Canyon Road with Casa Blanca Canyons #161 (Arizona National Scenic Trail Passage 4). The narrow, singletrack trail contours the hillsides above Temporal Gulch, with some steep pitches where it dips in and out of multiple canyons. The trail offers excellent views into Walker Canyon and the Mount Wrightson Wilderness.
Between 2020 and 2023, the Arizona Trail Association, with the help of many donors, trail crews, and volunteers, built 31 miles of scenic, sustainable singletrack trail in the Santa Rita Mountains on the Nogales Ranger District, including Little Casa #169, a connector trail that provides additional loop options in the area.

Directions:From Patagonia, AZ, turn left on First Avenue, which turns into Temporal Canyon Road/NFS Road 72. Follow Temporal Canyon Road for approximately 6.5 miles to the signed Temporal Gulch parking area and trailhead.
Dirt road; high-clearance recommended.
