Idlewild Campground
Constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's, Idlewild Campground is an easily accessible campground located just off of US Highway 395. The campground is lightly used and only becomes busy during the fall hunting season. Please pack out what you pack in, there is no trash service provided at this campground.
The campground is a great place for those traveling through who would like a nice quiet place to camp that is easy to reach.
General Information
Drinking water is available only during warmer months; water will be shut off from early to mid-October until mid to late May or early June depending on temperatures.
Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 12:00 p.m.; Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Oregon State Sno-Park Permit is required from November 1st through April 30th.
This campground can accomodate camp trailers 20 ft and under in length.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $10 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per vehicle per day
$10/Night for single unit, $5/Night for extra vehicle
Idlewild campground has a beautiful wood framed, open air pavilion which can be reserved by going to Recreation.gov, or calling 1-877-444-6777. The pavilion rents for $25.00 a day with a $9.00 service fee for the reservation.

Directions
Directions from Burns, OR., travel 2.8 miles on US Highway 20 to the junction with US Highway 395, turn left onto US Highway 395 and head north. Follow US Highway 395 for approximately 14.6 miles to the junction with Forest Road 2820. Continue on Forest Road 2820 for 0.8 miles to the junction with Idlewild Campground Road. Follow Idlewild Road for approximately 1 mile to the campground.
