Passes
The Malheur National Forest does not charge an entrance fee or any day use fees.
Recreation Passes are available for purchase at our offices for use at other National Forests, National Parks, and other federally managed lands that do charge fees. View a list of Forest Service operated sites that charge a fee in Oregon and Washington.
Passes are available online or in-person at National Forest offices or at local vendors.
Northwest Forest Passes (Oregon & Washington)
Recreation passes provide access to Forest Service operated recreation sites in Washington and Oregon where a day use fee is required. Annual passes cover day-use or entrance fees all year, while single-day passes work for one day.
Fee Free Days
On the following dates, the Forest Service waives recreation fees at most day-use sites. Participation by concession-operated sites may vary.

The America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands are a suite of annual and lifetime passes that provides U.S. citizens and visitors an affordable and convenient way to recreate on Federal recreational lands. They cover the use of amenities and services at many day-use sites on US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management lands. They also can be used at national parks, wildlife refuges, and other federal lands.
