As part of carrying out the mission of the Forest Service, agency resource specialists develop proposals that will enhance or maintain resource values on public lands, as well as generate products. In addition, the public may submit proposals for various uses such as rights-of-way, land exchanges, and recreational events. A necessary part of the planning for these is the environmental analysis and documentation, pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act and agency direction.
Note: Not all projects may appear on map. See list below for complete list of projects with more information or documentation.

Project is being incorporated into the Three Forks Fire Salvage Project, including additional roadside hazard tree removal along county and public roads and area salvage of dead trees.

The project is a renewal of the current road maintenance CE currently treating sections of road on the forest to keep them open, safe, and better able to withstand storm events with minimal damage. Project activities listed in the scoping packet.
The project would restore conditions conducive to revitalizing cultural burning of the Karuk Tribe, help restore biodiversity, as well as ecosystem process and function across the project landscape, and reduce risk to the community from wildfires.
Reduce hazards adjacent to roads, trails, facilities, reduce fuel loading associated with dead, dying, fire-damaged, hazard trees. Maintain the integrity and utility of the NFS roads, trails, facilities.
The NWFP Amendment provides an updated management framework that incorporates best available scientific information, considers public input, recommendations from the Federal Advisory Committee, tribes, and government partners.
The 1,500 acre Rattail Project seeks to apply forest health and fuels reduction treatments, address a legacy sediment site, remove invasive species, mitigate hazards to values at risk, and develop 3.41 miles of temp roads.
Reduce hazardous trees and fuels/slash along moderate to high use roads while revegetating areas within the project footprint to enhance wildfire resiliency, and achieve long-term management goals including the restoration of biodiversity.
The project will provide defensible space along main roads to expedite safe evacuations and improve wildland firefighter response, safety, and suppression during wildfires.
Cancelled - This project will assess grazing and rangeland conditions in the Mill Creek and Trinity Summit Allotments located on the Lower Trinity Ranger District, Six Rivers National Forest.
The Trinity Summit Restoration Project is a collaboration between the Six Rivers National Forest and the Hoopa Valley Tribe to reduce wildfire risk to communities and improve forest health through strategic fuels and forest health treatments.
