Lodgepole Campground
Lodgepole Campground, nestled near the picturesque Flaming Gorge Reservoir, is located just 26 miles north of Vernal, Utah, at an elevation of 8,000 feet. This serene haven offers visitors the opportunity to explore local trails and take day trips to the reservoir, which is only 10 miles away.
The campground is beautifully enveloped by a scenic aspen forest interspersed with pine trees, providing pleasant shade and stunning fall colors. During the summer, the area comes alive with an abundance of wildflowers, making this shady and secluded campground a delightful retreat for nature enthusiasts.
Don't Move Firewood: Help prevent the spread of tree-killing pests in our national forests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. Firewood is available for purchase from the campground host.
This campground has a dump station available for a small fee and trash collection is provided. Showers are located at Deer Run and Mustang Ridge for campers with proof of camping registration.

- Many campers make the short trip to beautiful Flaming Gorge Recreation Area for its world-class fishing for lake, brown and rainbow trout. Boating, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and scuba diving are popular activities on the reservoir.
- Flaming Gorge Dam offers guided tours of the working hydroelectric plant and the dam, and the adjacent visitor center contains area history exhibits.
- The Green River below the dam provides spectacular rafting opportunities. A trip down the river offers unique geology, outlaw history and Native American rock art.
- Cedar Springs Marina is less than 10 miles from the campground.
NOTE: This is Lodgepole Campground on the Ashley National Forest near Flaming Gorge, Utah and Rock Springs, Wyoming; this is not Lodgepole Campground located in the Uinta National Forest in near Provo, Orem and Heber, Utah.

Directions
From Vernal, Utah, travel north on U.S. Highway 191 for 26 miles.
From Manila, Utah, travel south on Utah Highway 44 for 28 miles to U.S. Highway 191 and travel 9 miles to the campground.
