Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM's)

All  Off-Road Vehicles (OHV) riding must occur only on Forest Service designated routes where the class of vehicle and the season of use are permitted. This requirement protects forest resources and prevents the development of non-system illegal routes. An annual Wyoming ORV decal/permit is required to be visible on all OHV (display the permit on the right front fender). On Forest Service trails drivers do not have to be licensed. Wyoming state law currently allows individuals under 16 years old to operate off-highway vehicles (OHV) on National Forest System trails whether or not they have a driver's license.

MVUM maps are now available for your mobile device for Android and Apple operating systems. The Free App is available for download through Avenza System Inc.: www.avenza.com/pdf-maps . This application along with our newly designed PDF maps, will allow you to view your location at all times as you navigate through the forest.

A couple of the great benefits of the App include:

  • Offline map accessibility
  • Measure distances and areas
  • Plot waypoints
  • Find coordinates
  • Open a current view in Google maps
  • Add notes and enter your own data
  • Add photos as attributes
  • Plus more!

Motor Vehicle Use Maps are currently available at Forest offices for each of the six  Bridger-Teton National Forest Districts. Areas Covered on each map are as follows:
