Cooper Creek Campground
This campground has 26 sites, including 3 tent sites. Water, toilets, tables, fire pits, and dumpsters are available.
Advance reservations are optional but recommended especially on weekends. All campgrounds have first-come, first-served sites as well.
ATTENTION: Campers Using Tents or Soft-sided Trailers
Bears have damaged tents and soft-sided trailers within the campground in the past. For your safety and the safety of others, please store all attractants - food, garbage, hygiene items, and anything with a smell - in a hard-sided vehicle or in the storage locker provided on site.
Be advised that bear incidents within the campground may trigger immediate prohibitions on tent and soft-sided vehicle camping. Issuance of such emergency order will require campers using these types of shelters to vacate the campground.

Recreation Opportunities
Fishing - River/Stream Info
Visit the Alaska Department of Fish & Game's website to review fishing regulations.
Salmon fish counts are monitored throughout Alaska and determine the daily limits for sport, commercial and subsistence fishing. All persons fishing the Russian River should be aware that the limits are subject to change or restriction depending on the fish count.
Emergency orders, often restricting the harvest of king salmon, can be issued at any time and have the same force and effect as law. Be sure to check the ADF&G's Emergency Order and Press Releases page prior to fishing.
