Peabody Trailhead

Peabody Trailhead is located off KY 66 in Clay County and provides access to the Redbird Crest Trail.  The challenging Redbird Crest Trail provides a nearly 100-mile loop trail that is developed for Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) riders, hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers. The site has a designated parking, visitor information, trash collection and primitive camping opportunities.

Directions

From Manchester, travel east on KY 9006 (Hal Rogers Parkway) for 13.1 miles to Exit 34, Big Creek. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto KY 66. Go 0.7 miles (passing under the parkway) to the intersection with US 421/KY 80. Turn right and go 0.8 miles, and then turn left onto KY 66. Continue on KY 66 for 1.7 miles. The trailhead is on the left.
