Icicle Creek Trailhead

Provides access to Icicle Creek Trail #1551 within Alpine Lakes Wilderness. This heavily used trailhead also provides access to French Creek Trail #1595, French Ridge Trail #1564, and Frosty-Wildhorse Trail #1592.

Current Conditions

WARNING: The bridge over French Creek 1.5 miles up Icicle Creek Trail #1551 is broken due to damage from heavy winter snowpack and is unsafe to cross. There is no way to ford the creek due to high water. No access to French Creek Trail #1595 or beyond bridge on Icicle Creek Trail. It is not known when bridge will be replaced.

Wilderness permit required: visitors need to fill out a free permit at the trailhead.
Wilderness regulations apply within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

$5 per vehicle per day
$30 per annual

Directions

From Leavenworth, turn left onto Icicle Road/Forest Road 7600 and follow it for about 20 miles. Stay left on Forest Road 7600 after passing Icicle Gorge Trailhead after about 16 miles on Icicle Creek Road.
