Big Creek/Summit Prairie Trail #B5053
This trail is located on the former Hines Railroad Grade. Traveling on this trail takes you through steep grade, filled to accommodate railroad traffic, deep cuts through rocky hills and flat open areas. The cut rocks are very interesting to see the layers of geologic material. The trail is a dirt and rock. Visitors to the area have great opportunities to see wildflowers of varying varieties. Wildlife in the area include deer, elk, multiple varieties of birds and many other animals.

Directions
From Prairie City, OR., turn onto South Main Street. Follow South Main Street to the junction with Bridge Street, turn left onto Bridge Street and continue past the cemetary. Bridge Street then becomes County Road 62. Follow County Road 62 approximately 19 miles to the junction with Forest Road 16. Travel west on Forest Road 16 to the junction with Forest Road 1600133. Travel on Forest Road 1600133 to the junction with Forest Road 1600097 where the trailhead is located.
