Campground: Chambers Lake

This campground is less than one mile from the very popular Snowgrass and Berry Patch Trailheads, which lead into the Goat Rocks Wilderness The Klickitat Loop Trail is also in the area. The site is heavily treed with a mix of Doug fir, hemlock, and cedar, providing cool shade on warm afternoons. Self-producing brook trout provide the bulk of the fishery here. Brown trout are stocked. Swimming and non-motorized boating are allowed.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Passes:

  • Camping: 50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access.

Passes not applicable until the fee goes into effect. The fee will not go into effect in 2025. 

No campfires

Maximum vehicle length is 25 - 35 feet.

 

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $15 per night
Double Site: $30 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per vehicle per day

The fee listed above will not go into effect in 2025. 

Dogs must be on a leash.

Directions

From Packwood, WA travel west on US-12 for 2.7 miles then go left on Forest Road 21. Stay on Forest Road 21 for 13 miles then take a slight left towards Forest Road 2150. Follow 2150 to the campground

This campground first comes, first serve for campground recreation only. This location is not an optional parking area for Goat Rocks Wilderness hikers.
