Half Moon Lake Campground

Half Moon Lake Campground is situated just off the northeast shore of Half Moon Lake. Heavy willow stands provide excellent privacy between sites and an Aspen over-story provide shade among the 17 sites. Visitors enjoy water sports such as boating, swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding right from the beach within the campground. Two miles down the gravel road is an excellent hiking trail for users of all abilities. This is a primitive campground, the access road is not paved, drinking water is not available, and proper Food Storage is Required. There is a 2 vehicle maximum for each campsite. Reserve a Half Moon Lake campsite via Recreation.gov.

Directions

From the Town of Pinedale, Wyoming, head East on Highway 191 (East Pine Street) and make a left turn onto Fremont Lake Road, continue on this road for approximately 3 miles where the road transitions to Skyline Drive/Forest Service Road 370740 (FS-370740). Continue on FS-370740 for 3.8 miles and then turn left onto Half Moon Lake Road/FS-370743. Follow FS-370743 for 1 mile and Half Moon Lake Campground is on the right.
