PROHIBITIONS
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System Road in the Flaming Gorge Ranger District, Ashley National Forests.
Described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A. This Order will be in effect June 2, 2025, and shall remain in effect until September 30, 2025, unless rescinded.
1. Being in or upon Spirit Lake Road (Forest Service Road #001) as described below and shown on attached map this includes all pedestrian, equestrian, bicycle, and any type of motorized vehicle, when road is signed as closed.
2. Dispersed Camping within closed area along closed area of Spirit Lake Road (Forest Service Road #001), as shown on map (Exhibit A) along the Spirit Lake Road (Forest Service Road #001). [36 CFR 261.53(e)]
EXEMPTIONS
Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
1. Persons with Forest Service Permit specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 36 C.F.R. § 251.50(e)(1) or (2).
2. Any federal, state, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty.
3. Federal or state administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.
DESCRIBED The closure starts at the Dugway on the west approximately 2 mile from the junction of the Hickerson Park Road (Forest Service Road #221) and Spirit Lake Road (Forest Service Road #001) and goes south west towards the Spirit Lake area located Township 2 North, Range 17 East, Sections 25, 26, 34 and 35 all within the Salt Lake Based Meridian as shown on the attached map.
PURPOSE The purpose of this Order is for public health and safety while timber crews are felling and loading trees within 600 feet of the Spirit Lake Road #001. The road will be closed intermittently during the work week for one hour at a time for falling operations and log truck loading. The road will not be closed on Friday, Saturdays or Sundays and including holiday weekends or opening days of General Deer and Elk hunts. Camping along the Spirit Lake Road (Forest Service Road #001) is Prohibited as shown on map (Exhibit A)

IMPLEMENTATION
1. This Order will be in effect June 02, 2025, and shall remain in effect until September 30, 2025, unless rescinded.

3. Unless otherwise expressly defined in this Order, the terms used in this Order are defined by the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture, 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299. If there are terms in this Order that are not expressly defined in the Order or 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299, their meaning shall be determined by their plain language definitions.
4. A violation of the above prohibitions is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by a fine of not more than $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organizations, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 U.S.C. § 551; 18 U.S.C. §§ 3559, 3571, and 3581.
