White Horse Lake Campground

This campground is 19 miles southeast of Williams and offers excellent opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and wildlife watching.

A trail following the lakeshore and one to Sycamore Canyon Vista are nearby.

In addition, a number of forest attractions are nearby, such as Sycamore Point, JD Dam, and the Overland Trail.

  • 94 single unit sites with tables, fire rings, grills, and tent pads.
  • 44 of these single unit sites and the group site are available through reservations.
  • All other single unit sites are first-come, first-served.
  • 22 campsites are fully wheelchair accessible.
  • Tents, trailers and motorhomes up to 38 feet long can be accommodated.
  • Composting and Pit toilets, and garbage bins provided.
  • Potable water hydrants located throughout the campground. Filling water tanks in motorhomes and RV's not allowed due to limited supply. Potable water supply for drinking water only. *Currently water system is turned off and unavailable. A temporary filling station has been brought in, but supplies are limited. Please plan to bring your own water.
  • No utility hookups.
  • Small paved boat ramp.
  • Campground hosts available to assist you.

Day Use Fee compliance runs from 7 AM -10 PM: site remain accessible between 10 PM - 7 AM (quiet hours observed where applicable)

General Information

America the Beautiful passes are accepted for camping only, NOT for day-use fee areas.

Please refer to the Arizona Game and Fish Department for current fishing regulations and permits and for stocking information and schedules at www.azgfd.com/Fishing.

  • No swimming allowed in the lake. See Kaibab N.F. Forest Order 07-18-05-Rr.
  • Pets must always be restrained or on a leash.
  • Motorbikes may be used only to enter and leave the area.
  • Only small electric boat motors (not exceeding 10 manufacturer-rated horsepower) are allowed. No gas motors are allowed per Ariz. Admin. Code § 12-4-517. For details on the regulations go to https://bit.ly/3159Wip.
  • No waste water (gray or black water) drained onto ground.
  • Maximum campground stay limit is 14 days.

Day Use, Single Vehicle (1 vehicle -per day):   $8.00
Annual Day Use Pass-per vehicle, annually:    $100.00 ($50 for local area residents for at least the 2025 operating season)

Discount Passes (such as America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes) do not apply to day use fees.

About 19 miles (30.5 km) southeast of Williams. Access/Road Conditions: From Williams, turn south on 4th St. (FR 173, Perkinsville Road) and go 9 miles to FR 110; turn left onto FR 110; go about 7 mi. and turn left onto FR 109; follow to campground entrance (about 3 mi.)
