Upgraded HR portal: Innovative service, our commitment to you

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Forest Service leadership is committed to searching for innovative ways to provide timely and excellent administrative services to all employees to align with our agency’s core value of service.    

Today, the Business Operations’ Human Resources Management and the Chief Financial Officer’s Budget and Finance unveiled an upgraded self-service portal for employees. In addition to offering the opportunity to open a case (or check on the status of an existing one), employees are now able to search for answers and information themselves. Furthermore, for the first time in the history of the Forest Service, employees have the option to interact with a 24/7 chatbot to find answers to common questions or create a case. These new self-service options expand opportunities for employees who are seeking assistance from our two contact centers.

To access the upgraded portal, log into ConnectHR and use the left-side toolbar to select “HR Help” for HRM assistance or select “B&F Help” for CFO assistance. Employees still have the option to speak directly with an agent by calling 1-877-372-7248 and pressing the number that corresponds with each help desk—1 for CFO/B&F, 2 for HRM and 3 for CFO/Travel.    

Implementing innovative programs to provide services to employees is part of our agency’s code and commitments. We are excited to see the result of so much effort by Business Operations and the Chief Financial Officer and their continuing search for new ways to provide explementary service to employees and the public.
