Swett Ranch Homestead: Wood Shed

How much wood would it take to heat a two-room cabin during the winter? This shed was built around 1920 from Oscar’s sawed lumber. Firewood was hauled in eight-foot lengths and reduced to stove sized and stored here. The engine from an old Hudson Super Six automobile powered the circular saw in front of the woodshed.
