Timber Sales
The Forest Service is strongly committed to the management of the National Forests in an environmentally sound manner. The agency's top priority is to maintain and improve the health, diversity, and productivity of forest ecosystems for the enjoyment of current and future generations. Forest management includes guidance, administration, and support of the agency's forest products management and sales programs.
The Superior National Forest's Timber Sale Program Announcement represents the various tracts of timber planned to be offered for sale on the Superior National Forest by the Forest Service
In addition, through the Good Neighbor Authority Agreement signed between the Superior National Forest and the State of Minnesota, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, plans to offer approximately 15 MMBF or 30,000 cords of National Forest timber volume.
