Dry Fire

The Dry Fire, located just southwest of the CalTrans Crestview Rest Stop (south of Owens River Road, and north of Mammoth Scenic Loop Road), started at approximately 4:15 p.m. on June 25, 2025. Due to the quick work of ground and air firefighting resources, the fire was caught at approximately 4 hours later at 15 acres. Highway 395 was temporarily closed in both directions during this time, however it was reopened shortly thereafter.

There are no forest or road closures in effect, however it is advised that OHV users and other recreationists to avoid the area for the next few days.
