General Information

Directions:

From LaVeta take State Highway 12 to the Cuchara Water and Sanitation office 1/4 mile south of the town of Cuchara. Turn right onto FSR 414 into Spring Creek Trailhead parking lot. Day-use fee is charged during summer months. Take Dodgeton Trail #1302 approx. 1.25 miles to jct. of Baker/Dodgeton trails.

Another access is from the Cuchara Mountain Park near the old Cuchara Ski Area off Hwy.12. From the parking lot at Cuchara Mountain Park (no fee is charged here) follow the non-motorized trail 1/2 mile to Baker Trail.
