Dry Ridge Trail #518

This trail is in the Roaring River Wilderness and climbs steadily for the first few miles. Trail begins at Roaring River Campground (1,000') and ends at the Grouse Point Trail #517 (4,000') intersection, east to Rock Lake Basin area. From the campground, the trail heads southeast for 0.3 mile to the beginning of a steep, 2-mile uphill grade. The trail reaches the ridge, where the trail grade becomes less steep. The trail follows the ridge for the next 2.9 miles, where it ends at the junction with Grouse Point Trail #517. Visitors can follow Grouse Point Trail #517 east to the Serene Lake Trail #512 or the Rock Lakes Basin area.

Due to extremely steep, narrow tread in segments. Although horse use is allowed on the trail, it is not recommended for the animal's and rider's safety.
