Bison Way Trail #210

Bison Way TrailBison Way Trail #210 is most often used as a connector trail to the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail. The trail passes several small streams. Hikers will enjoy a variety of seasonal wildflowers. The trail is located on Cumberland District in the Red River Gorge on the Daniel Boone National Forest.

At a Glance

Restroom: Vault toilets meet accessibility standards for persons with disabilities.
Passes: No fee for trail use. All vehicles on KY 15 or in the Red River Gorge and Indian Creek area north of KY 15 must display a recreation permit for backcountry camping between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. $5/day; $7/3 days; $50/annual pass. Recreation Passes and Permits

General Information

Directions:

Traveling east on the Mountain Parkway, take exit 33 at Slade. Turn left and then left again onto KY 15. Go approximately 1.4 miles and turn right on KY 77. Follow 77 through the Nada Tunnel, across the Red River and to KY 715. Follow 715 approximately 3.5 miles to a parking area located just before the two-lane bridge that crosses Gladie Creek.

Parking is available at the Bison Way Trailhead parking area.
