Dan Moller Cabin

This is a two level cabin 16 feet x 20 feet. The cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, propane wall furnace for heat and an outside toilet. It does not have mattresses or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring their own sleeping bags, pads, cook stoves, cooking gear and food. Propane for the wall furnace is provided. Sleeping space is provided for 7 people by one double bunk and one single bunk downstairs with four single bunks upstairs. There is a creek running near the cabin. Treat all water before using.

$75 per night

$75/night peak season May 1 – September 30
$75/night non-peak season October 1 – April 30
Refunds are not made if inclement weather conditions or other acts of nature beyond the Forest Service control cause the permittee to not use the shelter at the designated time.

Directions

The cabin is located three and one-half miles southwest of Juneau on Douglas Island. Access is by the 3 mile Dan Moller Trail. Turn left onto Pioneer Avenue, and the trail starts past the eleventh house on the right. The trailhead is marked, and there is a small parking area. A second access is at the end of Jackson St. above the Blueberry Hills subdivision in West Juneau.
