Checats Lake Cabin
This is a rustic style 12' X 12' Pan Abode cabin with sleeping space for 4 to 6 people. The cabin sits on a little knoll at the outlet of the lake, so stream and lake fishing is abundant. The land formations and the location of the cabin provides many scenic and wildlife photo opportunities. FACILITIES: • Two Single & Two Double Bunks • Wood Stove and Firewood • Cooking Counter and Table • Shelves and Cupboard Space • Ax/Maul/Splitting Wedges • Broom •14' aluminum skiff with oars.
Firewood may be available, but visitors are encouraged to contact the Ketchikan Misty Fjords Ranger District at 907-225-2148 to check the status of the woodshed.

This cabin is located approximately 45 air miles northeast of Ketchikan, on the mainland east of Rudyerd Bay. Accessible by floatplane. The trail to Lower Checats Lake does NOT provide cabin access. Refer to: USGS map Ketchikan B-3.
