Horse Riding and Camping

The Wayne National Forest has 79 miles of horse trails available to ride. Each of the trail systems allows for camping and some have specific camping facilities developed. Click on the choices above to find out more on what is available.

The Wayne does not have horse stables or horses available to rent. You must bring your own horse to ride our trails.

These trails are open to foot travel year-round, but are seasonally closed to horse riding use from winter to early spring. Visit our Recreation page to see seasonal open and close dates for the current year.
