Hapgood Pond Recreation Area
Hapgood Pond Recreation Area offers camping, fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking among the tranquil surroundings of Hapgood Pond. The pond itself is 12 acres in size and 12 feet at its deepest point. The recreation area offers a 28-site campground in a wooded setting, a 1 mile nature trail, and a day use area with a beach for swimming. No lifeguard is on duty; swim at your own risk.

Memorial Day - Columbus Day
Campground and Day-Use only available during open season. During open season, day-use area is open from 6:00 - 10:00 pm.
Additional state license and registration fees are required for fishing and boating. Please visit Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department for up to date information regarding Vermont state laws pertaining to fishing and boating.
Season passes are available for Hapgood Pond Day Use that allow unlimited day-use access throughout the open season. Season pass prices are:
- $35.00 standard price
- $17.50 with Interagency Senior/Access Pass discount
- $20.00 for second vehicle pass within the same household ($10.00 with Interagency Senior/Access Pass)

- Dogs must be on a leash at all times
- Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Maximum stay is 14 days in a 30-day period
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $20 per night
Day Use:
$5 per vehicle per day
$2.50 per motorcycle OR bike OR walk-in per day
$35 per season
Day-use fees, payable the self-service fee stations located near the entrance to the site:
- $5.00 per vehicle.
- Walk-ins and bicyclers have a reduced fee.
Camping fees, payable at the camping self-service fee station:
- $20.00 per site per night.
