Spring Load Limitations

On March 18, 2026, spring load limitations for all Chippewa National Forest roads will go into effect, with a seasonal restriction of 4-ton per axle weight limit. Individual posting of roads will not occur. The forest follows restriction dates as designated by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for the north central frost zone.
