Temporary Road Closures in Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest

The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest plans to temporarily close sections of Forest Roads in Ashland, Bayfield, Florence, Forest, Oconto, Price, Sawyer, Taylor and Vilas counties to replace culverts this summer. 

Please check the Forest’s website for updates and an interactive map showing road closures and suggested alternative routes.

Free USDA Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Maps are available for visitors to reference. The maps are located online on our website or can be picked up from Forest offices.

While sections of road are temporarily closed, travelers are encouraged to check electronic resources for current route information and/or bring along a paper map. Also, plan for extra travel time.
