Recreation Region: Cave Run Lake

Zilpo Day-Use Area

Spending the day at Zilpo Recreation Area is a wonderful way to squeeze the best parts of a Cave Run Lake vacation into a single day. Take a short hike along Zilpo Mountain Trail #1802 to an overlook of the lake or head out on Zilpo Connector Trail #113A to access miles of mountain biking and hiking trails. Have a quick lunch or pick up supplies at the Zilpo Campground Store and then spend the afternoon lounging on the sand beach or swimming in the roped swimming area. Wash off the day at the nearby bathhouse before heading home.
