Big Double Picnic Area
Big Double Picnic Area, located alongside Big Double Creek in Clay County, is the perfect space for everything from a casual picnic lunch to large-scale family gatherings and special events. The area can comfortably support 110 visitors spread across the 10 individual picnic sites and one larger family site. Each site has its own grill, fire ring and picnic table(s). Two nearby fields are suitable for playing ball or other outdoor activities. There are no developed trails, but the area has lots of room to explore. Site amenities include parking, visitor information, fire rings, grills and picnic tables.

Directions
From Manchester, travel east on KY 9006 (Hal Rogers Parkway) for 13.1 miles to Exit 34, Big Creek. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto KY 66. Go 0.7 miles (passing under the parkway) to the intersection with US 421/KY 80. Turn right and go 0.8 miles, and then turn left onto KY 66. Continue on KY 66 for 1.7 miles. Take the first right after the Redbird Ranger District Office onto Big Double Creek Road/Forest Service Road 1501 and continue for 2 miles.
