Temporary road closures - Tottery Pole Rd & FSR 7

Temporary road closures: Tottery Pole Road (Aug. 18) and Hale Ridge Road/FSR 7 (Aug. 19) 

The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest will close the following roads for forest management and restoration work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. (ET): 

Monday, Aug. 18, 2025 – Tottery Pole Road 34.959999, -83.224807
Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025 – Hale Ridge Road (FSR 7) 34.955203, -83.252672

As work allows, the roads may briefly reopen at noon for authorized Forest Service and Trout Unlimited employees only. They remain closed to the public until crews confirm the area is safe. 

Please avoid these areas during work hours, follow posted signs, and use alternate routes. Schedules are weather and conditions dependent. For updates, check this page or contact the local district office at (706) 754-6221.
