Seasonal Closures of Forest Campgrounds

Seasonally operated campgrounds in Olympic National Forest have begun closing for the 2025 summer season. Visitors to the forest are reminded to “know before you go” and have a plan for where to stay overnight.

Seasonal campground closure dates are as follows:

Hood Canal Area Campgrounds:

  • Dungeness Forks: September 22
  • Collins: September 22
  • Falls View: October 27
  • Seal Rock: October 27
  • Hamma Hamma: October 27
  • Lena Creek: October 27
  • Big Creek: Closed
  • Brown Creek: Closed
  • Lebar Horse: Closed

Quinault Area Campgrounds:

  • Willaby: October 31
  • Falls Creek: Closed
  • Gatton: Closed
  • Campbell Tree Grove: Closed

Forks Area Campgrounds:

  • Littleton Horse Camp: December 1
  • Klahowya: Closed

All listed campgrounds except for Collins are cashless. First come-first serve campgrounds sites can be paid with credit or debit card at self-service stations on site or through the Recreation.gov mobile app using “Scan & Pay”.
