Winter Motorized Use Road Restrictions on the Cle Elum Ranger District

Under the authority granted me by 36 CFR 261.50(b), in order to promote public
safety and to prevent excessive damage due to rutting and erosion caused by
vehicle use, the following acts are prohibited until further notice:
(1) Using any motorized vehicle, except for snowmobiles, on the roads
listed in EXHIBIT 1, attached, between October 1 and April 30.

Pursuant to 36 GFR 261.54(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
(1) Persons with a permit, issued by the Forest Supervisor or
District Ranger, specifically authorizing the otherwise
prohibited act or omission.
(2) Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized
rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of official
duties.
