Winter Motorized Use Restriction on Roads - Forestwide or multi district

Under the authority granted me by 36 CFR 261.50(b), in order to promote public safety and to reduce the conflict between snowmobiles and other motorized vehicles, the following acts are prohibited until further notice: (1) Using any motorized vehicle except snowmobiles on the roads listed in EXHIBIT 1, attached, when posted. 36 CFR 261.54(a). Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order: (1) Persons with a permit, issued by the Forest Supervisor or District Ranger, specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission. (2) Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of official duties.
