The Inyo National Forest is hiring for permanent wildland firefighter careers. Apply online via USAJOBS.gov. Must be a U.S. Citizen or national, at least 18 years. Positions are available at all Inyo National Forest duty stations, make sure to select your preferred duty location on the application. Applications will be used to fill current vacancies and any positions that may become open. Resume cannot exceed 2 pages.

We hire positions in wildland firefighting across California, including both permanent and permanent seasonal opportunities. Applications for the next year’s fire season as temporary employment typically open late summer or fall.
