Wrights Lake Campground

Anticipated closure of campground, day use, boat ramp, and equestrian camping September 28, 2025, depending on weather conditions.
All campsites first come, first serve until closure.

  • CALL 1‐877‐444‐6777: Four days to 6 months before your stay. Cancellations must be made 4 days prior to the start of your reservation for a refund to be considered. Refund requests must be made through Recreation.gov. No refund requests will be processed on site.

General Information

CAUTION: Bears in the area. Please keep all foods, soaps and garbage properly stored in bear boxes.

Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 1:00 p.m.

Interagency Senior and Access passes accepted for single family units.  

Give your Interagency pass number when making a reservation.

  • Equestrian sites: Visitors must be traveling with pack or saddle stock.
  • Check out time: 1 p.m.
  • Camping Fires: Please use grill or fire ring provided and only dead and down wood for your campfires. And  ensure your fire is dead out before leaving – using only water, not soil.
  • Max Stay Limit: 14 days per district per year
  • No motors (gas or electric) allowed.

  • Walk-In Tent Single Site # = 41 – 44, 50 ‐ 54
  • Equestrian Camping Site #  =  69 ‐ 83 

  • Keep family pets on a leash at all times.
  • Please cleanup after your pet.

Parking

  • Single units – limited to 2 vehicle and 6 people per site
  • Double units – limited to 4 vehicles and 12 people
  • Extra vehicle allowed for a fee – if the parking spur can accommodate it
  • Vehicle = Any equipment requiring license/registration like RVs, trailers, cars/ trucks, boat/car trailer, motorcycle/ATV. Vehicles parked in a truck or on a trailer not counted separately.

  • Water system tested monthly during use season.
  • No RV filling from piped water sources in campgrounds and day use areas.

Horse/Pack animals are allowed at this site.

  • One equine or other pack animal required per site. Campers travelling without equine or pack stock will be required to leave; no refund will be granted.
  • Equestrian units limited to 2 vehicles (including horse trailers) and 6 people per site. Additional fee charged for an extra vehicle if the parking spur will accommodate it
