Overview of Site: 

Elevation: 2,800-feet in elevation

Amenities: 20 campsites with picnic tables and campfire rings, vault toilets. There is currently no piped water available. Please bring enough water for cooking, cleaning, drinking, and extinguishing campfires. 

RV’s: Maximum RV length is 22' - No hookups.

Campsites are first come - first served. Reserving or holding of sites not allowed. 

General Information

Oak Flat Campground is located on the northwest side of the forest with easy access off the I-5 freeway. With 20 campsites, grab the family and spend the weekend roasting marshmallows around the campfire, go on a hike to Whitaker Peak, or hop in your vehicle for a short drive to the cool waters of Piru Creek at Frenchman's Flat.

Know Fire & Other Restrictions Before You Go!: These conditions can affect your entire trip. For example, Extreme and Critical fire use restrictions mean no campfires and no portable cooking systems/stoves. Bring cold food and no S'mores.

$5 per secondary annual

Dogs must be on leash.

Directions

From Castaic, drive 6 miles north on Interstate 5. Turn left on Templin Highway and go under the freeway. Drive northwest for 3 miles to campground.
