The information below provides updates to existing information on our webpage about Angeles National Forest offices and visitor centers. Check this alert regularly. Hours and pass availability may change with limited or no notice.
When one office is closed, please contact another forest office or visitor center for info/pass sales.

Acton Work Center (Acton, CA)
- No updates.
Angeles National Forest Headquarters / Supervisor's Office (Arcadia, CA)
- Adventure Passes and America the Beautiful-National Park and Federal Recreation Lands Passes not available for sale.
- We are seeking volunteers to assist with visitor information and/or public affairs assignments. Interested? Call (626) 574-1613.
Big Pines Visitor Center (Near Wrightwood, CA)
- Please call prior to arrival to confirm the center is open on Saturdays and Sundays.
Chilao Visitor Center (Approximately 27 miles north of La Cañada Flintridge, CA)
- Only open weekends and when staffing allows.
- Enter the visitor center from the back, as the front boardwalk needs repairs due to storm damage.
Los Angeles Gateway Ranger District (San Fernando, CA)
- Always call ahead to see if passes are available for sale, even on a day when they are normally sold.
- Passes available for sale (excluding 1 - 1: 30 p.m., closed for lunch) on:
- Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Thursday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Mt. Baldy Visitor Center (Mount Baldy Village, CA)
- The Mt. Baldy Visitor Center is back in business! Hours of operation - 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays AND 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Sundays.
- Visitors may be able to obtain visitor information at the Icehouse Canyon Trailhead, when volunteer staffing levels allow, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Hours at each location may vary depending on volunteer staffing availability.
San Gabriel Canyon Gateway Visitor Center (Azusa, CA)
- This visitor center is open when volunteers are available.
- To obtain a daily Adventure Pass for use in most areas of the Angeles National Forest, stop inside the visitor center or look for the back of an orange-colored machine in the drive-through lane farthest away from the main road. Pull in to use the machine for 24/7 service!
San Gabriel Mountains National Monument District Office (Glendora, CA)
- Passes are sold here on Mondays-Wednesdays.
- Passes may be sold Thursdays and Fridays when someone is available.
- Always call ahead to see if passes are available for sale, even on a day when they are normally sold.
- We are seeking volunteers to assist with visitor information. Call (626) 335-1251 if interested.
