Willow Creek Transfer Camp

Willow Creek Transfer Camp is composed of 4 large camping units. Campground amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, utility tables and a vault toilet. Stock facilities include corrals and a manger with an ADA loading ramp currently under renovation.   Campsites and restroom were renovated in 2021-2022.

General Information

The Willow Creek Trail No. 019 (an Idaho Centennial Trail segment) is located on the north end of the campground and is open to foot traffic, horseback, bicycles and motorcycles but closed to ATVs and UTVs. A small parking area is available at the north end of the campground for trail users.

 

Standard operating season is mid-May - October, but can be seasonally dependent.

All pets must be leashed in the campground.  All fires must be in provided rings and attended at all times.

Overnight Use:
Peak Season (mid-May- October 31): Single Site: $6 per night
Non-Peak (November 01 - May): No Fee

This is a no-charge campground, however there is a donation fee tube at the campground for those who would like to contribute funds.

Dogs must remain on leash in all Developed Recreation Sites.

A paved parking lot ends at a concrete sidewalk that leads to the an office building with a stone and wood facade. A stand of trees flanks the building on the left and provides a backdrop for the trapezoidal sign extending from a stone base. Directions

From Highway 20, travel north on Forest Highway 61 (Pine-Featherville Road) approximately 30 miles to the town of Featherville.  From there, travel east on Forest Road 227 approximately 7 miles, then turn on Forest Road #008 and travel north approximately 1.5 miles to Willow Creek Transfer Camp.

All sites have ADA accessible site furniture, but the site surface is uneven, native material.

Horse/Pack animals are allowed at this site.

Please utilize corrals and keep stock out of campsites. Corrals include hay racks. Looped layout can accommodate larger horse trailers.
