Partnerships
Partnerships are at the core of how we do business. We work with partners on almost every aspect of land management. Our partners include a number of federal agencies, the state of Utah, local cities and counties, conservation organizations, universities, and private citizens. Partners provide assistance through a number of avenues including grants, collaborative work projects and volunteer efforts.
If you are interested in partnering with the Manti-La Sal National Forest contact your local district office to find out how you can get involved.
Forest Service Partnership Resource Center
The USDA Forest Service works to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the nation’s forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations. Our partners include land management agencies across all levels of government, nonprofit and for-profit entities, and communities. Since the agency’s founding in 1905, partnerships have made significant contributions to our nation’s natural resource management.
Utah's Watershed Restoration Initiative
The Manti-La Sal National Forest is an active partner with Utah's Watershed Restoration Initiative (WRI). This partner based program works to improve high priority watersheds throughout the state the of Utah. Multiple organizations and agencies work together with WRI to focus on improving three ecosystem values: 1) watershed health and biological diversity, 2) water quality and yield, and 3) opportunities for sustainable uses of natural resources.
