Closure Order for Deer Creek Wildfire, Moab Ranger District, Manti-La Sal National Forest

Price, UT, July 12, 2025 — Closure Order Number # 04-10-25-04-01 is issued and in effect for all forest service lands within the Deer Creek wildfire area on the Moab Ranger District of the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The area is within San Juan County, approximately 25 miles Southeast of Moab and one mile North of Old La Sal, Utah.

The purpose of this Order is to protect public health and safety during an active wildfire. Under the Closure Order, the public is prohibited from entering the Described Areas stated within the order, including all recreational areas, roads, and trails. Loosely speaking, the approximate location of the closure applies to forest lands on the Moab Ranger District ranging from Forest Road 73, continuing East to Forest Roads 352 and 378, near the Buckeye Recreation Area and within the forest boundaries to the north and south. • The Described Trails of the Closure Order include the entirety of NFS Trails #088, 979, 980, 981, 983, and 985. And portions of NFS Trail #029.
• The Described Campsite Recreation areas including Buckeye Recreation Area.
  If persons are found in violation of the order, a violation notice will be issued. This closure is in effect through August 15, 2025, at 0001 unless rescinded.
