Dog Creek Campground
This site contains both reservable and first-come, first-served camp sites. Reservations can be made at Recreation.gov.
Dog Creek Campground is located four miles north of the town of Pine, Idaho, in a ponderosa pine forest. Situated along the banks of Dog Creek, at the foot of the Trinity Mountain Range and within 1/8 mile of the South Fork Boise River.
Deer and humming birds were often sighted. Fishing is allowed in South Fork Boise River. Visitors enjoy fishing, swimming and exploring trails in the surrounding area.
Natural Features:
The campground was settled in a grassy meadow. Surrounded by stands of cottonwood, aspen, Douglas fir and ponderosa pine, at an elevation of 4,400 feet.
Recreation:
The South Fork Boise River runs along the eastern edge of the campground, offering rafting, swimming and fishing for rainbow trout. Paradise Hot Springs is nearby.
- Green Creek trail 270, a 4.5-mile trail for hiking, horseback riding and dirt bikes, begins a mile from the site.
- Cross Cut trail 172 begins close to the campground and provides access to hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicles.

Directions
- From Mountain Home, Idaho, travel east on State Highway 20 for 35 miles to the turnoff for Pine/Featherville (Forest Service Highway 61).
- Travel north on Highway 61 for 23 miles to the campground.
