Doce Pit area closure rescinded, fire and shooting restrictions still in place

Prescott, Ariz., July 29, 2025 - With the completion of the mastication operation in the Doce Pit area, Closure Order #03-09-25-09 is rescinded effective July 25, 2025 at 0800 hrs. The Prescott National Forest remains in Stage 1 fire restrictions with a recreational shooting restriction. This applies to all National Forest lands, roads, and trails withing the administrative boundary of the Prescott National Forest.
