Timp & North Timp Viewpoints
Both Timp Viewpoint and North Timp Viewpoint offer spectacular views into the Grand Canyon. Visitors are treated to a panorama that includes the Powell Plateau, Steamboat Mountain, Great Thumb Mesa and Tapeats Amphitheater, as well as the Mount Trumbull Wilderness to the northwest. These are some of the best views into the canyon from the North Rim. Passenger car accessible, but may require high clearance at times.
Visitors can also hike between Timp Viewpoint and North Timp Viewpoint on the beautiful Rainbow Rim Trail, which traverses 27.5 miles along the rim of the Grand Canyon.
