WS Mountain #43 Trailhead

 Trailhead across from Pueblo Park Campground for W.S. Mountain Trail #43 and access to the Blue Range Wilderness.

Year-round

Parking is available overnight; occupancy and use at the trailhead is dawn to dusk.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

No fees are required for this site

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions

Follow U.S. Highway 180 25 miles north from Glenwood, NM to the Pueblo Park turnoff, between mile markers 26 and 25. Travel west 6 miles on County Road CO13. WS Mountain trailhead is on the left.

Horse Camping Info

Horse camping not permitted in the adjacent Pueblo Park Campground. Ride in to camp or use dispersed campsites along Pueblo Park Road.
