Parking is available overnight; occupancy and use at the trailhead is dawn to dusk.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

No fees are required for this site

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Directions

Trailhead is located on the east side of Forest Road 150, the North Star Road. From New Mexico Highway 35, turn north onto Forest Road 150 and proceed approximately 25.8 miles to Forest Road 61, into MeOwn airstrip. Turn east to the trailhead at the end of the road.
